Big Sur, California

When you think of a birthday celebration, you think of candles, cake and being surrounded by your loved ones. This year I decided to take a different route and go on a little adventure up the golden coast of California to one of the most beautiful places in all of the United States. The drive itself is one of the most memorable things I have ever done. Only a couple hour drive separates you from a bustling city of Los Angeles to these untouched coastal cliffs that stretch for miles.

Our first stop was Hearst Castle, which in itself is a truly amazing place and work of art. William Randolph Hearst hosted presidents, celebrities, and some of the world most notorious business men, all atop a mountain that looks over miles of untouched coastline. If you ever have the chance to visit you will not be disappointed.

After stopping at the Hearst Castle we departed to our camp site in Big Sur. We stayed in one of the most beautiful spots Big Sur at the Plaskett Creek Campground. Pro Tip: Spot #23 is really great and has a lot of room for you and your group. The rest of the trip can only be best described through my lens. Please enjoy my Big Sur journey below!
